Chie hopped awkwardly across the room, pulling a heel onto one foot as she did so. "Oh, come on Mori," she sighed, straightening up and adjusting her dress straps. "It's Christmas! Lighten up a little, hm?"
With a casual swipe of her index finger, she added a streak of lip gloss and smiled at the mirror on the back of the bedroom door. Compared with Mori, Chie wasn't so much a dynamic knock-out as a cute girl-next-door-type. Despite the simple elegance of her dress, she'd made the effort to add a little silver sparkle to her eyeshadow, in an attempt to keep with the festive mood.
Glancing over her shoulder at Mori, she heaved a tiny sigh. Chie loved her sister dearly, and appreciated having a sibling who cared so much for her, but she wished Moriko was a tiny bit less negative towards Jiro. It had been a while since Chie had last had a crush, and she was secretly very excited to see Jiro at the party tonight. She pouted at the mirror one last time and wondered if she should put some lipstick on after all.
