"Thanks!" Taisei said brightly, running over to reposition the mistletoe for the dozenth time. "And, uh, I think it'll be fine! I invited a couple other people, and I mean I don't know if all of them will come but I figured it was better to have too much food!"

After deliberating for a second, he hung the mistletoe above the entrance to the kitchen, then stood back and nodded decisively.

That done, he turned and bounded across the room in two strides and enveloped Yuudai in a hug. "Yuudai! Wow I'm so glad you came! I mean I know I asked you a bunch of times but you never really said if you would or not. I'm glad you're here~!"
